Ukrainian Forces Destroy Strategic Bridge Over Seim River in Kursk Region

The Ukrainian military destroyed a key bridge connecting the border areas of the Kursk region with the right bank of the Seim River.

Local residents report that a bridge over the river near the Glushkovo village was destroyed. It was targeted over a span of two days, leading to its destruction.

Judging by the evident damage, the strikes could have been carried out by high-precision artillery rounds or by HIMARS GMLRS missiles.

This bridge was one of only a few key crossings in the area, with two other road bridges near the villages of Zvannoye and Karyzh, along with a railroad bridge, also serving the region.

The destruction of these bridges could isolate a significant portion of the Glushkovsky district, cutting it off from the main Russian forces.

While the Russian military could potentially deploy pontoon ferries to maintain connectivity, this would come with a considerable risk of missile attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The affected part of the Glushkovsky district includes several settlements, such as Toytkino, Popovo-Lezhachi, and Volfino, along with 27 other villages.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian Air Force struck Russian military facilities in the Russian village of Tyotkino, located 2.5 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border.

The Ukrainian aircraft hit command and observation posts and a hangar with equipment.

In March 2024, soldiers of the Freedom of Russia Legion fighting on the side of Ukraine captured a part of the village of Tyotkino during limited raids.

Soldiers of the Siberian Battalion and the Russian Volunteer Corps took part in raids in this area.
