For the second time in a week, the Security Service of Ukraine’s strike unmanned aerial vehicles attacked the Shahed storage terminal in Tatarstan, Russia.
This was reported by the SSU press service.
Before that, local residents recorded on social media how Shahed drones were flying over various locations in the region, and later when one of them hit the warehouse.
The warehouse is located in the Russian town of Kzyl-Yul, Republic of Tatarstan, 1300 kilometers from Ukraine.
“The long-range drones of the SSU Special Operations Center ‘A’ have repeatedly hit the logistics hub where Shakhtys, as well as foreign components for them, are stored,” the SSU said.
The previous attack by long-range drones on this facility of the Russian military-industrial complex took place on August 9 this year. Back then, attack drones “Liutyi” were used for the attack.
Satellite images taken after the attack show at least two holes in the roof of the logistics center, one of which is noticeably larger.
One of today’s hits on the Shahed storage terminal was captured on video:
It was probably filmed by employees who were evacuated after the hits.
The video also clearly shows the use of an unknown Shahedi-like drone that was able to fly about 1300 km.
One of the first recorded instances of the use of such drones was on July 4 this year, when an optical and mechanical plant in the city of Azov, Rostov region, was attacked.
