Russian soldiers en masse refuse to participate in hostilities – Defence Intelligence

Units and formations located on the territory of the Russian Federation are canceling the planned deployments of personnel to the territory of Ukraine due to mass refusal to participate in hostilities.

The Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported about this.

According to the intelligence, servicemen of the 5th Separate Tank Brigade of the 36th army (Ulan-Ude) are writing reports for dismissal due to their refusal to continue fighting in Ukraine. Servicemen are being dismissed from service without considering any benefits.

At the same time, the Russian personnel fighting in Ukraine are given vacations only due to family circumstances (death of close relatives).

Also, the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine emphasizes that there is a catastrophic lack of personnel in the units that participate in hostilities in Ukraine. In order to eliminate the “deficit”, the command of the invasion forces reduces the time allocated for soldier rehabilitation after injuries and contusions.

Diagnoses are simplified for the wounded, necessary surgeries are not being performed, and they are offered to return to the war. In addition, doctors are “recommended” to give permission for planned surgical interventions after the end of the war or with the permission of the commander of the wounded.

For example, there are reports of a case in which a serviceman was discharged from the hospital 3 days after a ruptured ear drum and a contusion. “Otitis” was proclaimed as the official diagnosis. The serviceman was advised not to catch a cold in his ear and was refused surgery.

The Defence Intelligence also reports that the invaders are trying to strengthen their grouping of troops in the area of temporarily occupied Kherson at the expense of “available reserves”.

For this purpose, they plan was to redeploy 4 battalions of the so-called “Kadyrovites”, but currently, these units are also understaffed. Most of the personnel are not Chechens but mercenaries from the poorest regions of the Russian Federation.

As previously reported, within a week of the start of the counteroffensive operation, the Ukrainian servicemen liberated 300 settlements in the Kharkiv region.
