Russia demonstrated the strike aftermath on a military base near the city of Klintsy

In Russia, the shelling of the military base near the city of Klintsy in the Bryansk region was reported.

Alexander Bogomaz, governor of the region, claimed that the attack on the territory of the Russian Federation was carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, the Russian air defense allegedly shot down the missile.

“Tonight, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired on the territory of the city of Klintsy. As a result of the air defense system operation, the missile was destroyed, and some parts of it fell into the territory of the industrial zone,” Bogomaz wrote on Telegram.

The governor of the Russian region assured that there no injuries or destruction were reported as a result of the alleged strike. Currently, the operational services are working at the scene.

However, videos and photos featuring footage of the consequences of a strike on a military unit near Klintsy, Bryansk Region, were released on Russian social media and propaganda telegram channels.

The Russian public claims that repairs of military equipment damaged in the war with Ukraine are being conducted on the territory of this military unit.

The released footage shows a large funnel several meters deep in the ground next to a parking lot and a building on the territory of a Russian military facility.

According to one version of the Russians, the strike was carried out by a Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile.

This incident is not the first one in the area of the Klintsy settlement of the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation. On June 11, a fire occurred in the parking lot with military equipment after a powerful explosion at a military facility.

Klintsy is a city of regional subordination in Russia, it is the administrative center of the Klintsy district of the Bryansk region. The city is located almost 50 km away from the border with Ukraine and 160 kilometers from Bryansk. The village hosts a military unit No. 12721.

Bryansk region borders the Chernihiv and Sumy regions of Ukraine.
