The Ukrainian Kraken special forces unit conducted an operation in Bilohorivka, Luhansk Region.
During the operation, Ukrainian soldiers neutralized several invaders and captured the survived ones.
Multiple units of the Russian invasion forces’ equipment were neutralized as well.
Bilohorivka village belongs to the Lysychansk community of the Sievierodonetsk district in the Luhansk Region.
Before the start of the ground operation, the Ukrainian artillery struck Russian military personnel locations.
When the artillery was done, the infantry entered the battle.
The released footage shows a combat clash between Ukrainian and Russian forces.
Two Russian soldiers were captured during the operation.
On July 10, Serhiy Haidai, the Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are restraining Russian troops in the Bilohorivka area. Also, it’s getting harder for the invaders to attack due to Ukrainian artillery destroying enemy ammunition in depots.
The Kraken special forces unit is also conducting combat operations against Russian troops in the Kharkiv Region.
After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, activists associated with the Azov Regiment started forming volunteer units. One of these military formations became the Kraken special forces unit. Its commanders are Kostyantyn Nemichev and Serhiy Velichko, also known as Chili. Both men are from Kharkiv. They used to serve in the Azov Regiment, and later became social activists in their civilian lives.
In June, the Ukrainian Kraken special forces unit received Alvis 4 armored vehicles.
