A powerful explosion occurred at the Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant in Russia.
According to the Russian Telegram channel SHOT, at least seven people were killed in the incident.
Meanwhile, the VChK-OGPU Telegram channel reports that eight people were killed, while the whereabouts of another 30 remain unknown. Employees are reportedly leaning toward the theory that a storage facility containing hazardous materials detonated at the plant.
The explosion occurred in Workshop No. 4, which completely collapsed as a result of the blast.
Photos and videos published by local sources show a large column of smoke rising from the site and a fire at the chemical plant.

The plant is located in the city of Krasnozavodsk in the Sergiyevo-Posadsky district of the Moscow region, Russia, approximately 600 km from the Ukrainian state border.
The plant is a state-owned enterprise, which receives investment through the state-owned Rostec corporation.
According to the Exilenova+ monitoring community, the Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant is one of the key special-chemicals facilities supporting Russia’s military-industrial complex.
It specializes in the development and production of pyrotechnic devices, ammunition, and explosives.
This facility is where thermobaric warheads for Geran attack drones are developed and mass-produced.
On July 7, Ukrainian attack drones had already struck this chemical plant.
According to eyewitnesses, seven explosions were heard in the plant area.
