The Estonian modular unmanned surface vessel EUROMITE, capable of performing a wide range of operational tasks, was presented at a defense exhibition in Poland.
This was reported by Militarnyi correspondents from the MSPO international defense exhibition in Poland.
The drone was developed by DefSecIntel Solutions in cooperation with Baltic Workboats shipbuilder.
Due to its multifunctionality, EUROMITE can perform reconnaissance, logistics and strike operations.
“Equipped with autonomous and adaptive navigation based on artificial intelligence, the maritime drone guarantees reliable operation in dynamic and challenging environments,” the company said.
The drone is designed as a cost-effective and scalable platform.
Communication is maintained via a radio channel, mobile network or satellite channel. In addition, the device has built-in security systems in case of signal loss.
Main technical characteristics: length – 8 meters, width – 2.2 meters, draft – 0.5 meters. The body is made of aluminum. The fuel tank has a capacity of 1150 liters, and the carrying capacity is 500 kg.
The maximum speed of EUROMITE reaches 55 knots, and the optimum speed is 30 knots. The cruising range is up to 540 nautical miles without refueling, which allows for long autonomous missions.
The power plant consists of two water cannons driven by gasoline internal combustion engines. This configuration provides high maneuverability and speed in various conditions.
EUROMITE is easily transported on a lightweight trailer and can be controlled from a tablet. This greatly simplifies its operation and makes it possible to quickly put the machine into operation even in remote areas.
Recently, Poland also presented a new maritime drone StormRider, which is capable of performing reconnaissance and strike missions.
